An absolutely beautiful send-off by @Jason_Shaya.
It was truly an honor to share the press box this season with you, @TuckerTerranova, and @Resnick_Media. The conversations, the laughs, and the moments we got to witness together are something I’ll carry with me.
This season meant more to me than I can fully put into words. I’m beyond grateful for all of you and for an experience I’ll never forget.

The New York Islanders have signed defenseman Marshall Warren to a one-year, two-way contract.
Warren burst onto the scene this season, earning AHL Player of the Week honors after the opening weekend. A responsible defender with a knack for jumping into the rush, he quickly became a key piece on the blue line.
Last season with Bridgeport, Warren recorded 6G-26A-32P in 56 games.
Fun Fact: Warren made his NHL debut against close friend Trevor Zegras and picked up two assists in the game.

Former New York Islanders second-round pick and Bridgeport Sound Tigers captain Aaron Ness has announced his retirement.
Ness played in the Isles organization from 2011-15 and also spent time in the Capitals, Bruins, and Coyotes organizations.
You have to assume he’ll eventually become just the second player in Bridgeport franchise history to be inducted into the AHL Hall of Fame.

The Hamilton Hammers sign Matthew Highmore to an AHL deal.
Highmore is a leader and a guy who was mentioned by name multiple times last season when it came to helping new players get up to speed. Definitely the type of player you want around your younger players.
Last season, Highmore played in all but two regular season games and recorded 15G-25A-40P in that span. His impact goes far beyond the scoresheet.

For those who don’t know, Matt Luff launched an initiative called “Luff’s Pups” to support the TJO Animal Foundation, pledging $50 for every point he scored this past season.
Donations from “Luff’s Pups” help the TJO Animal Foundation cover medical expenses for animals in need, including emergency care and extended treatment.
Even though he was no longer with the Springfield Thunderbirds, he continued the initiative for the remainder of the season as planned.
The final total raised was $2,600. It’s another example of the meaningful impact AHL players can have in their communities, and an inspiring reminder of how athletes like Luff use their platform to give back in a real, lasting way.
Check out what Matt had to say, and learn how to donate or get involved, on his page. @Matt_Luff25

Very interesting.
Fun fact: Jay McKee coached Liam Foudy in 2019-20 with the OHL All-Stars.
Once more players sign, we could potentially see more crossover.
Islanders News: The New York Islanders announced today that Jay McKee has been named Head Coach of the Hamilton Hammers, the Islanders new American Hockey League affiliate.
