@FightofFaith@RxOnlyFL Your logic of sola scriptura is dangerous. You should understand that the context is extremely important when reading scripture. Christ’s teaching included baptism. Why are you so caught up on something so very clear in the gospels.
@FightofFaith@_SamanthaWalton “paradise" in Luke 23:43 likely refers to the abode of the righteous dead (Abraham's Bosom) where Jesus went after death to bring the just to heaven, rather than the Beatific Vision (Heaven) itself. It indicates immediate communion with Jesus, not necessarily heaven
@realmikolson@realalexlains She’s not rude. She did deal with it. but you just do not understand language or context enough to understand. Many blessings to you sir.
@realmikolson@realalexlains Latin word “precari”is where the word pray in English is derived from meaning to “ask” earnestly. Like the phrase “pray thee tell”. this would’ve been very well known throughout the ages. The word has a different connotation now since we do not talk in old English anymore.
@LizzieMarbach@RobertWeidner11 The Ark stayed in the hill country for three months (2 Sam 6:11), and Mary stayed with Elizabeth for "about three months". If you believe scripture is God inspired, why denounce this beautiful parallel. Understanding the Old Testament means understanding the gospels.
@LizzieMarbach@RobertWeidner11 , Elizabeth rejoices and shows humility, asking why the "mother of my Lord" (the Ark) comes to her. This is directly parallels what king David says when the Ark arrives (samuel 2:6)
@LizzieMarbach@BlaineKAyers@denise_gil12468 Provide the exact verse where this is mentioned? And if you’re going to site the translation of other “sons”maybe you should learn Koine Greek.
@LizzieMarbach@BlaineKAyers@denise_gil12468 On the cross, Jesus entrusted Mary to John, which he would not have done if she had other biological sons, as that would violate Jewish custom.
