You are very wrong, Senior. Ghanaians often have differing opinions and, unfortunately, many people hold prejudicial mindsets. Once a person is labelled a suspect, society tends to assume guilt immediately.

Besides, among the various categories of suspects, this individual does not even appear to be a primary suspect. At best, he is a person of interest. Therefore, there was no justification for the police to publicly humiliate him in this manner.

The police could have spared us this unnecessary drama by withholding his image until his guilt had been established. You may not fully appreciate the damage this could cause to his reputation, career, and personal life, even if he is eventually cleared and acquitted.

One truly understands the consequences of such public exposure only when faced with a similar situation. The principle of “innocent until proven guilty” exists for a reason and should be respected by all.

We need to examine the sanitation practices of some of the market women. Too often, we focus on the effects without addressing the root causes.
