It really feels like Shami’s continued exclusion has more to do with Agarkar’s ego than anything else.Earlier, Agarkar kept giving excuses about Shami’s fitness while Shami himself said he was ready. Then Shami went and bowled 15-20-overs in the Ranji Trophy, proving his point. Now suddenly Agarkar says Shami is “ready for T20s”? Excuse me, that directly questions the standard of our Ranji setup. If his body wasn’t ready for the longer format, how was he bowling long spells in domestic cricket?
And on the other side, they keep picking fragile Prasidh Krishna, who leaks runs in ODIs and doesn’t know how to build pressure in Tests, calling him the “future.” But they can’t pick Aquib Nabi or give Shami a fair chance? It’s starting to look like clear favouritism and a personal ego clash.
Sunil Narine is playing T20 cricket since 2011 and only once his economy went above 7 in a calendar year. He ended fifteen years with an economy of under 7 & seven years with an economy of under 6. Only bowler in the league cricket who is never taken apart and batters still struggling to read him despite playing for more than 16 years.
Unreal control, unreal consistency, unreal legacy.
@Ismail_nikson@IrfanPathan Irfan bhai ka theory ye hai ki Vaibhav Suryavanshi purposely bade bowlers (jaise Bumrah) ko target karta hai - unko challenge karke jaldi name banane ka smart plan. Aaj Bumrah ko 2 sixes thok diye to theory bilkul sahi nikli! 🔥 Prodigy in the making.
