Play is the work of kids. It’s not just running around and yelling. Play helps kids solve problems, negotiate with others, and develop self-regulation skills. When recess is reduced or omitted, you are taking away the learning of significant and necessary skills.
@_AndyJacks Admin preaches a lot about connecting, building relationships, being a strong teacher, and yet most left the classroom. I find this ironic and empty.
Remember in the 2022 midterms that every Republican voted against:
$1,400 per person
$300/mo unemployment
$3,000 per child tax credit
Rent assistance
Help for small businesses
@SteeleThoughts Also, strong teachers collaborate, lift up their coworkers, and contribute positivity. They don't care about being "the best". They care about all the humans at the school not just the ones in their classrooms.
@swiss_mott@FixingEducation Lowe wages is corporate welfare... we get to put up the billl for healthcare and food. God forbid the rich corporations supporting a living wage for workers.
@RickChapterTwo Don’t shop there. Awful place as they could afford to give their employees a living wage and affordable healthcare. Every dollar spent there is a vote to keep the status quo.
@kaitlancollins Dems are moving on from this so they can fight
-to get another check to American families that are facing hunger & homelessness ASAP.
-for 15.
-to expand healthcare.
-for an infrastructure bill that will provide good, union jobs & rebuild the middle class.
It's the smart play.
I said on social media, it's a shame that teachers/schools are celebrating Valentine's Day today; yet there is no mention of Lunar New Year, one of the largest global celebrations; and she said "but many of us don't have Asian students in our class." This is problematic. /1
