@SteveTh39995896 @jahbrickz Runaway slaves joined Natives when they fled after the Yamasee war in 1717 creating the Seminoles yes. But I’m referring to Black people brought to Spanish Florida a century later after the War of 1812. Who along with Natives fought in the Battle of Negro fort.

@SteveTh39995896 @jahbrickz They weren’t all slaves. The British passed an emancipation during the War of 1812 for slaves. After the War Britain dropped Free Blacks in Florida who later took part in the Battle of Negro fort, Seminole wars and joined the Creek. They were also sent to Oklahoma.
