@KeyTryer What do they even mean… I thought the idea of symbols is that they're all Lisp symbols: indigestible lumps that are related using lists and rule manipulation.
I figure it's her job, and she's paid for it (and she puts all the earned money right back into the game), and it's probably fine. It's only my own evaluation of the talent that gets revised down, and that hardly matters to her or anyone else for that matter.
Rant: some prominent talent makes a great rant about the big social costs of AI in drawing, and I'm inclined to agree, but then turns around and spends $$$ on a sponsored gacha game she's in. Insofar as they're both a mildly negative moral rots, I find this contrast annoying.
3. Lunatic Serina: just a plain old nothing moon which is largely inert before terraforming, like our own moon (again, hence the name)
I think I will draw timelines for each of these.
Three ideas for the pre-seeded Serina:-
1. Iowan Serina: a moon with high vulcanism and stress from orbiting the gas giant, like Io (hence the name)
2. Tasty Serina: a moon that resembles Oisin (hence the name), which is a slightly melted Europa with exposed seas
I basically explicitly encode this in my worldbuilding: that any mention of an unqualified "year" (not including any that are preceded with a star, thus: "*year") is in fact just another name for 31.5 Ms.
It's actually more like 31.557 Ms, but rounding is good.
When a large-scale historical fiction concept not set on Earth is proposed, I usually understand the word "year" as a wonky unit of time equal to 31.5 Ms, because I have no guarantee that it is the actual time when the same season comes around in the setting.
Thing to also do: add more hourglass eras for Serina... as I remember we are on (hourglass Fb) for the Ocean Age, (hourglass Fc) for Hothouse, so now we're going for (hourglass Fd) for last-spurt? And then (hourglass Fe) for what comes after...
@HistorianZhang@wllmpan@citoyennetomate My guess is that this was like how in Europe every city has its own units with the same way, but different great powers standardised it.

@ptrschmdtnlsn A typical modded Minecraft game needs like maybe 1 chest of iron (27 stacks, 1728 singles) to get a factory set up. You can turn around 1 chest per minute after 24 hours of careful gameplay.
@KeyTryer It's also a bit slow on my slightly old (2021) tablet and the back button isn't fixed in one place which will probably take some time to get used to.
@KeyTryer The first thing I noticed is that it now consumes a lot more mobile data than it used to and I don't like that.
I have unlimited data but I still don't like that.
@tracewoodgrains I feel like "not-useless" is perhaps setting the bar a bit too low. You still can't quite get a hot meal out of having your data slurped out.
