We discovered a novel phenomenon: helical Spirulina automatically align their shape with the flow velocity profile in a straight channel. We used this for length-based sorting!

Great BMEC seminar by Dr. Hideaki Shiraishi! We learned what Spirulina is from basic biology to food applications! The seminar was 2 hours long, consisting of 45min talk, 45min Q&A, and 30min round table discussion!
