“We will remain here in our homes, until the pain goes away…” is what they’re singing.
We teach life. Every single person here has lost multiple family members and fled multiple airstrikes. They’ve seen more death and destruction in a few weeks than we have seen in our entire lives. Yet they smile. They remain steadfast. They never surrender.
The people of Gaza are the most blessed people on earth.

Medical staff in #Gaza are so inundated by the sheer mass of patients arriving that the surgical board used to keep track of the weeks upcoming surgeries has been wiped clean and replaced with these words:
My very close friend, brilliant medical student, then colleague, my inspiration - my beloved brother Maysara, killed in cold blood last night with his mother, his father, his two sisters, one with her three children.
Eight humans, guilty of nothing but being warm, caring and resolute Palestinians.
Murdered in cold blood - unarmed, civilians, in their own home while trying to sleep.

Dr. Eva Lonn, the head of cardiology at McMaster University called for pro-Palestinian protestors to be deported. It wasn’t the first time she had made alleged xenophobic posts. Now, she’s under review by the university. She also declined multiple interview requests.
My story:
“Some women experience postpartum bleeding and we can’t manage it… we’ve preformed hysterectomies on women who could have been saved. But to save blood, we’ve made the decision to remove uterus to increase the chances of not losing the patient.” #Gaza
