📚RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Deputy Chief of Mission.
- Provide administrative support to the Ambassador's Office as required.
- Provide personal assistance in specific areas.
- Draft, edit, and proofread official correspondence, diplomatic notes, reports, and other documents.
- Prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings when required, and produce accurate meeting minutes and follow-up action items
- Coordinate meetings with government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and other stakeholders.
- Manage complex calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate daily priorities.
- Respond to emails, telephone inquiries, and correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
Arrange domestic and international travel, including itineraries, accommodations, and logistics.
Provide logistical and administrative support for official Embassy events and official visits.
Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.

✅QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar administrative role is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with Israel or Israeli society is considered an asset.

This position is designated for locally engaged staff; Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Meet Dr. Eliezer, a Christian physician from Ethiopia completing his pediatric cardiology fellowship through Save a Child's Heart, an Israeli humanitarian organization providing life saving cardiac care to children around the world 🇮🇱.

For Dr. Eliezer, this journey is about more than medicine at Wolfson Medical Center. As a Christian, he says being in Israel feels like a blessing. He's growing as a doctor, strengthening his faith, and even says the coffee here is pretty great.

Morris Shumiatcher, founder of what would become the iconic Smithbilt Hat Company, was a Jewish Calgarian pioneer who created the White Hat. It debuted in the 1946 Calgary Stampede.

It was a special honour to present the White Hat to my friend Ambassador Iddo Moed, a continuum of a tradition founded at the end of WW2 now commemorated with the representative of the modern State of Israel.

My thanks to the organizers and guests at the Israel Tech Shuk, showcasing innovation and boundless potential.
