🌀⚡️ BLUE IMPULSE 🧠🌀
CHELSEA’s SHAMBOLIC 2025-26 PL SEASON
🔎A Closer Look 🔍
When I look at Chelsea’s 2025/26 Premier League season, I honestly see a campaign split into multiple phases rather than one consistent story.
The season actually started strongly. From August into early October, we looked aggressive, energetic and dangerous in transition. Winning away at West Ham, beating Fulham, Forest and Wolves showed a side that could overwhelm teams once space opened up. At that stage, I genuinely felt Chelsea were building momentum.
But then the inconsistency started creeping in.
From November into December, we became unpredictable. One week we looked sharp, the next week we looked emotionally flat. Too many draws started slowing us down, especially games where we should have controlled the tempo better. The problem wasn’t always chance creation — it was game management and concentration. We got closer to end of Mares
The best spell of the season for me was still the run between 17 January and 10 February 2026. Beginning of Rosenior era.
That stretch showed the Chelsea I want to see every week:
aggressive,
vertical,
confident,
intense,
and clinical.
Winning four straight games against Brentford, Palace, West Ham and Wolves felt like the team had finally found rhythm. Even the Leeds draw in that period still showed energy and attacking intent. We played with belief during that stretch.
But then came the collapse.
From 14 March to 4 May, the season completely spiraled. Six defeats in that period exposed every weakness this team still has:
emotional fragility,
defensive instability,
poor control in difficult moments,
and inconsistency against top-level pressure.
The losses to City, Brighton, Liverpool and United especially stood out because we looked mentally overwhelmed once momentum turned negative.
Looking at the overall numbers:
14 wins
10 draws
14 losses
58 goals scored
52 conceded
…it basically tells the full story.
This team clearly has attacking quality. Scoring 58 goals and finishing with a positive goal difference proves there is genuine offensive threat in this side. Matches like:
West Ham 1-5 Chelsea,
Villa 1-4 Chelsea,
Wolves 1-3 Chelsea
show how dangerous we are when transitions open up.
But conceding 52 goals also explains why the season never became stable. Too many avoidable defensive moments kept dragging us backward.
Another interesting thing I noticed is how balanced the home and away records were:
7W–5D–7L at home
7W–5D–7L away
That tells me the issue wasn’t necessarily Stamford Bridge pressure or away mentality alone. The inconsistency was systemic across the whole season.
For me, the biggest takeaway is simple:
Chelsea’s ceiling is high enough to compete with anyone.
But the emotional control and consistency level are still far below elite title-winning standards.
This squad has talent but lacks elite mentality in difficult times.
The challenge now is turning flashes into sustained dominance over 38 games.
Can Xabi Alonso turn this squad around with a few precise additions and subtractions???
