Kan: The Shin Bet located al Arbid in western Gaza City weeks ago. Israel initially considered an airstrike before deciding to capture him alive for interrogation.

The months long operation involved the Shin Bet and Southern Command, with Gaza reports claiming Israel aligned militias also participated.

Al Arbid was wounded but remains conscious and is being treated in an Israeli hospital. Security sources said he was shocked to learn he had been taken to Israel.

A veteran Hamas operative since the 1990s, he was allegedly involved in rebuilding Hamas and blocking efforts to disarm the group. Israel also briefed the U.S. on the operation.

“Please kill our children,” says Hamas: Over the past two days, Hamas channels and pro‑“resistance” activists have circulated a disturbing video from Gaza: a child carrying an RPG, firing it at an Israeli tank, and being celebrated as a “martyr” after being killed during the “al‑Aqsa Flood” war following October 7. The ISIS‑style production uses dramatic music, slick cuts, and a heroic narrative around Suhaib Abu Labbad, a boy from al‑Zeitoun who lost half his immediate family in Israeli airstrikes in 2023, presented as the justification for his recruitment into Hamas’s al‑Qassam Brigades.

What is uniquely sick and dehumanizing is how child abuse is framed as heroism, nationalism, and faith. Instead of helping this child process and work through unimaginable trauma (rooted in Hamas’s fascistic decision to attack Israel on October 7), the narrative is flipped. Suhaib is cast as one of many willing child fighters, radicalized and pushed toward suicidal “resistance” as his only meaningful future. This is the classic cycle of hatred, indoctrination, and revenge made literal. We hear constantly about Hamas replenishing its ranks with children; now they are advertising it. The use of child soldiers, routine for Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), is a war crime, a form of child abuse, and a marker of cultural depravity and decay. Suhaib should have been provided with love, comfort, support, and warmth to fill the voids in his life; his family would still be alive had Hamas simply kept its terrorists at home on October 7.

What is excruciatingly painful is that as Hamas & PIJ are becoming more blatant in their propaganda, the Western-based “pro-Palestine” movement is failing to acknowledge and register how horrendous their beloved “resistance” group has been toward Palestinians. Hamas is effectively inviting Israel to target more children, and implicitly admitting that among the 20,000 children it claims were killed in Gaza, some number were used as combatants, erasing the very innocence it insists the world recognize.

Ask yourself why Hamas is now choosing to showcase child soldiers, and what that reveals about everything you think you knew about the war after the October 7 massacre.
