October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Believe it or not, it's not just for IT departments.
Most people get got by basics that go unaddressed for years: reused passwords, no MFA, outdated apps.
The good news is the fixes are just as basic. Five habits make the biggest difference:
- Keep critical apps and devices current. Turn on automatic updates for email, banking, and cloud storage.
- Turn on MFA everywhere it matters. Email, financial accounts, social media. Use passkeys when you can. They're more resistant to phishing.
- Use passphrases, not passwords. Long, unique, random. A short sentence beats "P@ssword123" every time.
- Get a password manager. It generates strong passwords, stores them safely, and won't autofill them on a fake site.
- Remove your info from people search sites. Less exposed data means fewer details attackers can use to guess your passwords, target your accounts, or build a convincing phishing message.
Security isn't reserved for professionals. It's a handful of habits anyone can build this month.

Dr. Maya Angelou understood that the pursuit of justice requires courage — the courage to speak, organize, listen, and stand for the dignity of others.
On #InternationalDayOfNonViolence, we honor her lifelong commitment to civil rights, justice, and our shared humanity, alongside the enduring legacies of leaders who advanced the movement for justice and equality.

Haaaayyyy… I love being me and back in my role “model” timeline. 🩶
Fashion has become another language for my soul… letting parts of me speak before I ever sing a note. What a beautiful feeling to find my confidence woven into every piece.
This Flashback Friday, I’m sending love ( #spreadlove ) to Thomas Hanisch for creating art that made me feel like the eye in my own storm… the stillness where I could surrender. This set the tone for everything that followed….on THEE legendary Essence Festival (Essence, Essence Festival) stage, I felt free to be a vessel… to let the music move through me.
And DB… Derek Blanks Photography you always seem to catch my spirit in the frame. Thank you for these BEAUTIFUL moments I AM blessed to keep.
Thank you, thank you, thank you… love you both. 🩶🩶🩶♾️♾️♾️

Princess Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, addressed Buckingham Palace's statement to some of the claims he made in his new book, "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister."
"They have to gaslight. They have to sort of pretend there's something wrong with my mind or my memory. There's nothing wrong with either," Spencer told @GayleKing in his first live TV interview in the U.S. https://t.co/x8Py1keVzc
