Decades after the massacre of the Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics one of the perpetrators, who was still alive, said that he is deeply proud of his actions because “it brought the Palestinian cause to global attention”. And what have Palestinians done ever since with this global attention to their vaunted “cause”?

Had their cause been limited goals like “ending the occupation”, or “removing settlements” or “creating an independent state” they would have fulfilled it long ago.

But their cause has always been and remains to ensure that the Jews have no state in any part of the land - hence “Free Palestine” and “From the River to the Sea”.

Palestinians have never pursued a constructive cause, not for a single minute. It was always a destructive one. Which is why they have failed to achieve it. A people pursuing as a top priority the goal of destruction of everything another people built, will never themselves build anything of value.

This is the reason that when Palestinians celebrate massacres of Jews - and they do celebrate - they celebrate their vision that Israel will soon disappear, that there will be no free Jews living in the land. They don’t celebrate anything positive that they wish to achieve.

And if anything needs to change following this living hell, it is not just dismantling Hamas or destroying its ability to carry out such massacres, but the entire Palestinian ethos. Palestinians and their enablers needs to go through the same process of De-Nazification of Germany or the reprogramming of the Japan’s military culture. Nothing less will do.
