ACRA’s mobile health team is continuing to deliver essential primary healthcare services to vulnerable communities in Tuja, Tonga Payam, bringing healthcare closer to people with limited access to health facilities.

The outreach provides a comprehensive package of services, including antenatal care (ANC), routine immunization, curative consultations, and health education sessions. Community members have responded positively, with a strong turnout reflecting the growing demand for accessible, quality healthcare.

By bringing services directly to communities, we are helping improve access to lifesaving care and promoting healthier, more resilient communities.

Today, we successfully trained enumerators for the NORAD Project, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills required to conduct quality, accurate and accountable data collection.

Beneficiary registration for the NORAD Project is now underway in Malakal.

With the support of the Beneficiary Selection Committees and RRC representatives, 180 households were registered using KoboCollect on the first day. Registration will continue across Central and Eastern Payams.

At ACRA, we believe every child deserves to grow up safe, protected, and supported.

This month, our Child Protection teams are rolling out SLHS activities in Nyirol County- Chwil Payam.

The specific activities include;

1. Early Identification - Training community volunteers to recognize signs of risk: abuse, neglect, unsafe homes, and family stress

2. Family Support - Linking vulnerable families to livelihood support, counseling, and parenting sessions

4. Referrals - Connecting children to health, education, and psychosocial services when needed

As part of ACRA’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare, a supportive supervision visit was conducted at the Mobile Health Clinic in Ghal Boma.

The visit focused on mentoring frontline health workers, improving patient record management, strengthening medicine accountability, and enhancing the quality and timeliness of health reporting. Through continuous coaching and support, we are helping build the capacity of health workers and improve the quality of care delivered to communities.

ACRA proudly participated in a high-level advocacy meeting alongside the Ministry of Health, civil society organizations, development partners, and other stakeholders to advance Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in South Sudan.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration, promoting equitable access to quality SRHR services, and addressing barriers affecting women, adolescents, and other vulnerable populations.

ACRA remains committed to working with partners to strengthen health systems and expand access to quality, rights-based sexual and reproductive healthcare for all.

Yesterday, we commenced Basic Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (BEmONC) training for healthcare providers at the mobile sites in Panyikang County.

The training is strengthening the knowledge and practical skills of frontline health workers in managing obstetric and newborn emergencies, delivering evidence-based lifesaving interventions and ensuring timely referrals to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes.

We are constantly investing in skilled health workers to ensure safer pregnancies, safer births and healthier communities.

We were honored to participate in the Cross-Country Learning Dialogue on Humanitarian Access and Accountability in Nairobi, hosted by @RESCUEorg .

The dialogue brought together humanitarian actors and government representatives from South Sudan and Somalia to share field experiences, examine operational challenges, and explore practical approaches to strengthening accountability to affected communities.

Malakal📍.

Today, ACRA conducted an inception meeting for the Caritas Norway Flexible Funding Project in Malakal County, bringing together government representatives from relevant ministries and departments. The meeting introduced the project’s objectives, planned interventions, target locations, and implementation approach, while creating a shared understanding of the roles of government, community structures and ACRA in supporting vulnerable households through protection, WASH, livelihoods and emergency assistance.
