Media Bias Alert: @CBC issued a misleading on-air correction on Gaza mass graves after lobbying from @HonestRepCanada. Here is the evidence they tried to discredit and why the "correction" itself was flawed.

La Caisse montre la voie en réduisant de 44% ses investissements en Israël face au génocide perpétré à Gaza. Pourtant, le travail n’est pas fini. Il faut rompre tout lien avec les entreprises complots dans les crimes et le génocide à Gaza.
“Canadaland Inc. and its founder Jesse Brown will pay a total of $885,000 in damages and costs to Theresa Kielburger [...] to settle her defamation lawsuit. [...] Under the settlement terms, Mr. Brown appeared in open court and read a full retraction and apology aloud. The full apology must be posted prominently and permanently on the Canadaland website and across every social media and podcast platform where the episode appears.”

Bravo to La Caisse for dramatically reducing investments in Israel by 44% in response to the genocide in Gaza. We urge the institution to cut all remaining ties with companies complicit in the colonization of Palestine.

We welcome Canada’s announcement of new sanctions targeting extremist Israeli settlers and organizations in the occupied West Bank, which was coordinated with European partners.
For the last 8 months, CJPME, alongside our partners, have been advocating for Canada to expand its sanctions regime against Israel, including Libi Construction and Infrastructure Ltd. While we are glad Canada is taking some concrete steps, Canada can and must do more to stop settlement expansion.
Canada must capitalize on this global momentum and impose stronger sanctions on the settlements as a whole, as well as entities that financially encourage and support violations of Palestine’s territorial integrity.
hey guys i am quitting my job and moving countries bc of islamophobia. no, i don’t have any specific examples of anything thats happened to me… more just like a feeling and some anecdotes ive seen online. can someone please write an article about this for a major newspaper?
CBC keeps citing B'nai Brith's annual audit of antisemitism, saying that the "Jewish advocacy group" documents "anti-Jewish hate."
In reality, B'nai Brith is a pro-Israel group that conflates antisemitism & anti-Zionism. I complained—@CBCNews editors refuse to make a change.
During a broadcast, @CBCNews claimed that Jerusalem Day—an Israeli holiday celebrating illegal occupation and notorious for violence against Palestinians—simply marked the "reunification of Israel." CBC effectively repeated Israeli talking points supporting a war crime. Following a CJPME complaint, CBC aired a correction clarifying that the Old City and East Jerusalem are occupied.
On June 2, @Aaron_Derfel claimed Dr. Moss was leaving Quebec due to "rising antisemitism," according to anonymous sources. Moss declined an interview.
Then, on June 3, Derfel claimed Moss cited "concerns with rising antisemitism" for his departure.
One of these stories is false
An odd story here. Derfel reports that a surgeon is leaving Montreal due to rising antisemitism, but relies solely on speculation from anonymous sources.
Moss declined to provide comment on his exit. Sources not that he’s long been frustrated by Quebec’s healthcare system.
🇱🇧 New nationwide survey found broad agreement across Lebanon that Israel is the country’s primary enemy, while revealing sharp divisions over resistance, diplomacy, and the future of the Palestinian cause.
The study, conducted by Lebanese American University professor Jad Melki and his team, surveyed 1,000 people during the 2026 Israeli war on Lebanon.
▪️ 87% said Israel is their enemy
▪️ 51% said the United States is their enemy
▪️ 38% said Iran is their enemy
Views on the conflict were more divided:
▪️ 54% said diplomacy is the only path to liberation
▪️ 35% said armed resistance is the only path
▪️ 51% supported destroying Israel
▪️ 34% supported signing a peace agreement with Israel
▪️ 47% said liberating Palestine is their duty
▪️ 39% said it is not
Researchers found younger Lebanese expressed stronger hostility toward the USA, more positive views of Iran, support for armed resistance, and Palestinian liberation, while older and wealthier respondents were generally more likely to support diplomacy and a peace agreement with Israel.
The report and some key findings are linked below. 🧵⏬
On Saturday, I participated in Montreal’s 5K fundraising Run for Lebanon event. So proud to stand with my community and support the Canadian Red Cross Lebanon Humanitarian Needs Appeal 🇱🇧

Three months ago today, a war began that no one voted for — and the cost has been paid by people who had no say in it.
Thousands of civilians have lost their lives. Thirteen U.S. servicemembers will never come home to their families.
Americans across this country and our city have watched prices rise at the pump and the grocery store, their budgets strained by a conflict launched without a single vote of Congress.
Every life lost abroad and every dollar squeezed from a working family here is part of the same reckless bill, handed to the people who could least afford it by those who will never pay it themselves.
I opposed this war from the first day. I oppose it still. It must end.
I'm happy to be featured in this forthcoming book in conservation with the NDP's new leader @avilewis and alongside some great people from across Canada's left.
It's coming out June 25 can and you can pre-order it here: https://t.co/CfIceDYCtN
