Happy Inauguration Day from the heart of the action! And happy one year anniversary with this goober. It all feels so optimistic. What a time to be alive ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸

More extraordinary MSM framing of Javier Milei’s victory.
More amazing given he’s a break from the literal far right Peronists who provided safe haven for nazis and have dominated Argentine politics for 80 years (and completely decimated the economy).
The BBC using ‘far-right’ and right-wing interchangeably is such a tell of their bias and casual willingness to spread misinformation.
For context, Javier Milei is essentially a Reaganite/Thatcherite - but even less authoritarian…
Peronists claim that democracy is in danger if Argentina turns away from the former dictator’s party and votes for a libertarian. https://t.co/Z0rjqvXeEf
🇦🇷🇮🇱 THANK YOU ARGENTINA! Argentinians sing Israel's national anthem, Hatikvah, in a moving display of solidarity in Buenos Aires.
Gracias y Dios los bendiga.
@carolvorders Ok, Boomer. Are you saying she is wrong about the need to build more homes?
It wasn't Liz Truss' 44 days as PM which made homes cost 20x the median salary and in short supply. It's been NIMBY boomers for the last 30 years.
I will vote at the next election for a party that pledges to scrap the Triple Lock and reigns in NIMBYs who have made homeownership for my generation a pipe dream.
Doesn't look like the Tories right now, does it?
@thecaseybyrne Boomers failed the Conservative Party by locking future generations of would-be Tory voters out of the property ladder and rigging the welfare state to suit their narrow generational advantage.
Truss was trying to disrupt that. I don't see voters much happier under Sunak...
Because rising wages would push up house prices.
For housing to become affordable, wages must outperform house prices by 100%+ for 5+ years.
Realistically that’s not happening.
If 🏡 prices fall, the gap between income and prices gets narrowed. 🏡 then becomes affordable.
When we feel the pressure to conform to the insanity of a God-less culture driven by a totalitarian power elite, we must ask ourselves: who are we trying to please? Whoever we are trying to please, that is who we serve. God gives us free will to choose - will we serve Him, or will we serve those we seek to undermine our relationship with Him? We can't serve both.
Housing is starting to become more affordable because prices are falling.
Look at this;
During the last year the growth in wages outperformed house prices. The last time this happened was 9 years ago.
I’ve said this before, FTBs should say thank you to Liz Truss. @trussliz
During the 1930s depression, UK house prices crashed up to 70% in some areas.
Over 85% of UK properties sold for less than £750.
That’s £45,000 in today’s money.
