@Gianl1974 I'd like to see him say that here in deep red Idaho. Few bike lanes, little public transit, everything's at least a 20 min drive, 100 degree heat in the summer, houses have 4-5 cars out front for each fam member.
@fwaevon Helps with copays tho. Wife's Mounjaro (diabetes) is only $90 rather than $1200. Blood work is $120 rather than $200. Doc visit is $30 rather than $150.
@VolkerJes53874@financedystop Up until around 2005, I was renting a 1 bdrm in downtown San Jose for $600, then later $800/mo. Into the 10's this jumped to over $2k/mo due to startup culture, VC money, tech bros. In 2017 I escaped to Thailand.
@AsianDawn4 Don't I know it. Hometown is San Jose, CA. Years ago, the Cinco de Mayo parade had to be banned, as my dear Latino community just couldn't stop destroying downtown each time. However, just a few blocks away, the several yearly Japantown festivals continued without issue.
@Indian_Bronson@NickWatts Not surprising. FB and IG have ruined lives. Many teenage lives grossly impacted, or even prematurely ended. Quite a few angry parents, to say the least.
@JohnBond70py@PattayaUnf Indeed, and closer to his age. 40-something biz owner or professional, divorced. I knew quite a few when I was a teacher. Some occasionally still hit me up on LinkedIn, asking if I know any prospective single farangs.
@Snazzyjones@vidIQ No jobs. Even DoorDash and Uber are turning people away. Social media platforms saturated with aspiring "influencers". Now they're camped out at Target at 4 am, hoping to score rare Pokemon cards for resale.
@vidIQ Smart move. Due to this challenged economic climate, too many are now trying to hop onto the influencer bandwagon, and they're already way too late.
@Jesii_ca_M Mmm. When I began college I was riding my bike everywhere, and man the flirty looks I'd get from the neglected MILFs, doing yardwork, hanging out laundry, in their tight workout gear. Having them invite me in for some community service was, still is, my ultimate fantasy.
@KILLTOPARTY At 39, after 10 miserable yrs of the dating scene in California, I went to go teach in Thailand. Soon ran into my wonderful wife. Now together 8 yrs, married for 6, brought her back to the US. She couldn't have kids, so we hang with her sisters' kids whenever we go back.
@Bangkok__Mike 1) Marry a Thai lady. 2) Stand with her and breeze through the much shorter Thai passport line. 3) Her sister is there when you arrive. 4) Sister's kids carry your bags. π
