I'm out. I haven't logged in here in months. Things have only gotten worse since then. I can't support this anymore, even passively. If I follow you it's because your stuff sparked joy. Thank you for that. If you like, you can find me somewhere the skies are blue, same handle.
@PaulTassi Jurassic Green is my go-to pulse for everything. Excited to see if I get an even better roll than the one I've been rocking for the past two or three years.
@SonataNocturne@TrenchCrusade Haha, totally! Hobby dads unite! I'm so glad that this hobby of ours is something that we can take through all the stages of our lives. And now my daughter loves painting models too. She's only 4 but she's working hard at it. No pushing from me, I think she just caught the bug.
@SonataNocturne@TrenchCrusade Actually, one more question if I may: Roughly how much table does each trench bundle cover? Trying to figure out how many sets I'd need for a 4'x4' board. Cheers!
@apathei@KnightUvTime@PaulTassi@Bungie Agreed mate, I feel the same way. It's how we learn what's real and what isn't. I think we might be doing the internet wrong though. At this point we're supposed to be hurling insults at each other's moms, haha! π
@apathei@KnightUvTime@PaulTassi@Bungie Yeah. And I totally agree. I'm not trying to be combative either. Newo made a good (and very basic) point that convinced me he's actually right and I'm overthinking.
I'd love @Bungie to show us a peek behind this curtain. Then we can all stop worrying and get back to the grind!
@kneewoah@PaulTassi I'd still love to see this repeated with an independent data set just to be sure, but based on this I think it's well worth doing.
Come on, @bungie! Show us your distribution table!
@kneewoah@PaulTassi You know what, you're absolutely right about that. I'm more used to handling much larger data sets than this. You're spot on though about 210 being the right number, so I'm going to be very un-internet and change my mind. Something does seem to be off.
@apathei@KnightUvTime@PaulTassi@Bungie I can't tell you the number of times during my PhD a result looked promising, but then when I ran the statistical analysis it was just a fluke. It's why we repeat experiments to get statistically meaningful data we can rely on; intuition can trick us regarding numbers & patterns.
@apathei@KnightUvTime@PaulTassi@Bungie each result to pop up roughly 1000 times IF the system was completely unbiased. About 450 rolls isn't enough to eliminate the expected chance spikes for particular rolls in such a small sample size. Then you get people drawing false conclusions from insufficient data.
