The land parcels were sold preaching utility left and right. The utility of the land was to mine coins of monetary value let alone the uses for those coins. It was sold as having more utility then any other land project.

The social aspect of gotchiverse, the "great battle" for millions of alchemica, and the ability to mine alchemica(a crypto coin with monetary value) is all utility. Otherwise it wouldn't have sold.
