I just killed a relatively large spider, in a very dramatic way, by myself. There was screaming and running involved.
My two thoughts as I go to bed tonight are:
1) Jesus loves me.
2) I'm almost certain He's laughing at me.
Homeless man is brought to church and starts CURSING right in the middle of the sermon while the pastor is preaching on the parable of the lost sheep.
The pastor's response is EPIC! WATCH what happens…. #JesusIsLord
@SpiritAirlines I JUST need a receipt.
Receipts include DATES, AMOUNTS & a summary of purchase.
If my credit card was charged 3x, that’s 3 receipts.
What you provide online is a purchase summary— NO dates, and all purchases totaled to a sum which look like 1 itemized receipt.
@jaredhmoore Not sure when Allberry said he “couldn’t marry” just that it’s not his goal. Sounds in line with Matt 19:12 and 1 Cor 7:7.
Is it sinful to choose singleness for the sake of the Kingdom? Is it sinful to say “marriage is God’s good design and I desire it but Jesus is better”?
The death of @timkellernyc is an incalculable loss to the church, the world, to those of us who loved him, those of us he helped in our darkest hours.
This is gain for Tim, now in the presence of Christ. He need no longer explain the reason for God, just to enjoy him forever.
Curious what are the weather conditions in #Anchorage that would cause @united to cancel flights and leave us stranded in Chicago for 2 days.
Our contacts report 0 weather issues and not seeing anything online.
@TerriGreenUSA We do see some traces of this on the mission field every week when teams come and are surprised hearing/seeing theologically sound songs/books that have not been translated from English. Subtle, not “colonizing”, but def challenging unspoken presuppositions.
Grateful for @NAMB_SBC, @srpuertorico, this team and the work that was completed!
Most grateful for a God who saves and a gospel that is so, so powerful.

@uav_guy_79@AdamPage85 Agreed. If referring to the Kennedy center ribbons, those debuted before the pride flag. Worth noting because the rainbow has more than 1 meaning. https://t.co/nPQpvxGBdP
7 things to remember regularly in ministry:
#1. Remember that nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ.
—You don’t have to be impressive. You are loved by your Savior. (1/7)
@ThomRainer Jesus delayed his visit to Lazarus but it was because He knew the Father would be glorified in his delay and eventual raising from the dead. In our capacity, I think mourning with the family in that unusual circumstance glorifies God. Again, not a normal “interruption”.
@ThomRainer It’s not a hard 100% yes, but if it’s a church MEMBER, not sure there’d be much hesitation. Others can “do” the funeral, but we attend visiting hours. The church should understand and some things can be rescheduled. Funerals for members have been an all hands on deck thing.
@ThomRainer Pastor’s kid here & I believe this happened 2x (once when traveling, not vacation). We all went (wasn’t forced or even a question). My sister and I were fine 1. Taught us the importance of church fam 2. My dad spent time with us regularly so vacation wasn’t only time spent w/him
The person who loves their dream of community will destroy community, but the person who loves those around them will create community. - Bonhoeffer, Life Together
@david_bumg Dr. Moore calls out the Church in what he calls “a crisis of love” for not holding Falwell accountable. It sounds like he is saying there’s enough blame to go around and Falwell agrees, hence the “evenhanded” remark.
