Yoruba proverb explains why your biggest comeback is coming after the worst breakdown.
Proverb:
“Ile oba t’o jo, ewa lo busi.”
Meaning:
When a king’s palace burns down, the rebuilt one becomes more beautiful.
Modern lesson:
That failure, betrayal, or loss that feels like total destruction? Yoruba elders saw it as necessary fire.
Your next chapter won’t just recover, it will be upgraded. Stop mourning the old palace. Start designing the greater one.

Verydarkman is saying what many are thinking:
“Sheikh Gumi said the government knows the terrorists and kidnappers, E be like say we will go Oyo State enter the bush.”
When even clerics publicly suggest the government knows the perpetrators, it destroys whatever little trust is left.
Protesters in Abuja are clear:
“If the government don’t meet our demands, we’re not leaving the street, we’ll continue coming out.”
After over 40 days of children in captivity and worsening insecurity, people are done waiting. This is what happens when leadership fails to act.
Hunters risked their lives to rescue kidnapped victims in Oyo State, yet some were arrested by police afterward.
Oriyomi is raising alarm over this. When community heroes who actually deliver results get detained instead of supported, it shows how broken the system is.
When will security agencies work with local defenders instead of against them?

This is the clarity we need
“If you believe that version of history from Bini/Edo, you’re seriously mistaken. Bini is a relatively recent tribe compared to what some people claim, everyone don know say na Ile-Ife he come from.”
Our history is clear and well-documented. We must continue to defend and teach the truth about Yoruba origins and greatness without fear.

Lmao 🤣. If you believe that version of history from Bini/Edo, you’re seriously mistaken. Bini is a relatively recent tribe compared to what some people claim. What cracks me up is how some bini keep threatening to expose the Oba 😂. Expose what exactly?😂😂😂😂everyone don know say na ile ife he come from naw 😂😂😂

Oriyomi is calling on Oyo Police to release hunters who were caught with live cartridges during a kidnap rescue operation.
These are the real community defenders stepping up when the system fails. They deserve support, not harassment.

Finally some relief for families
Nigeria and Ethiopia have signed a prisoner transfer agreement so Nigerians serving sentences in Ethiopia can return home to complete their terms.
Hundreds of families have been waiting for this. It shows what diplomatic will can achieve when leaders actually act.
How important is it to bring our people back home?

This is what proactive local action looks like.
Over 200 suspected criminals were intercepted in Amuwo-Odofin along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway thanks to credible intelligence from residents.
While the federal system struggles, local governments and communities are stepping up. This shows that security works best when it is closer to the people.
How soon do we need state police and stronger local security structures? Your take

Politics over people again
A pro-Tinubu group is protesting in Abuja, accusing Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde of “hiding” the abducted Oriire children because of his presidential ambition.
While children remain in captivity, some are busy playing political games. This is exactly why trust in leadership continues to erode.

Kaduna Governor Uba Sani just said the quiet part out loud.
“We are lacking boots on the ground… Unless we create state police in Nigeria, we cannot address the issues of insurgency, banditry, and kidnappings.”
The federal system is overwhelmed and failing. Over 230 million people cannot be secured by less than 400k police and 270k military. This is why state police is non-negotiable.
How much longer will we pretend the current structure works?

In 2015, Kano alone had an estimated 1.6 million Almajiri children bigger than the population of many cities. Northern Nigeria total: 9.5 million.
This out-of-school system has become a factory for insecurity and underdevelopment. Decades of failed policies and religious exploitation have created this crisis.

People are on the streets in Ibadan chanting “Seyi Makinde fall for gutter, march am march am” over insecurity, bad governance and hardship.
When citizens including children have to protest like this in 2026, it shows how deep the frustration has gone. Leaders cannot keep ignoring the cries on the ground.
How much longer before real solutions replace endless promises?

Tinubu claims terror-related deaths have dropped by 81% since 2015 and over 13,000 terrorists neutralised in the past year.
While any reduction in violence is welcome, many communities in the North and even creeping into the Southwest are still living in fear. Real success is when ordinary Nigerians can move freely without constant threat.

Terr%r related De@ths Have Dropped by 81% Since 2015 — Tinubu Reveals 13,000 Terr%rists Were K+lled in One Year
President Bola Tinubu has disclosed that more than 13,000 t+rrorists were k#lled across Nigeria in the past year, while t+rror-related d£aths have dropped by 81 per cent since 2015.
The President made the revelation on Friday during his national broadcast to mark Nigeria’s 27th Democracy Day celebration, his fourth address since assuming office in 2023.
Highlighting the government’s security achievements, Tinubu said Nigeria has moved beyond basic military training partnerships with allies such as the United States, France and other European countries to carrying out precision operations against t+rror groups.
According to him, one of the major successes was the degradation of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) command centre in Arege, Borno State.
“We have moved from training with our allies, the United States, France and other European countries, to precision targeting,” Tinubu said.
“In Arege, Borno State, we degraded ISWAP’s command centre. t+rror-related d£aths are down by 81 per cent since 2015. Over 13,000 t+rrorists have been neutralised in the past year.”
The President attributed the gains to increased investment in security, noting that the 2026 budget contains a record N5.41 trillion allocation for defence, the largest security budget in Nigeria’s history.
He also revealed that more than 50,000 new police officers have been recruited, alongside thousands of military personnel, under what he described as a national security emergency.
“Our administration is ever ready to do much more to secure our people,” he added.
This is how we make knowledge truly ours!

Tinubu addressed the nation on Democracy Day today.
He spoke about security gains, the economy, and urged youths to stay and build Nigeria instead of japa.
While there are claims of progress, many Nigerians are still dealing with hardship and insecurity daily. Real democracy must deliver tangible results, not just speeches.

President Bola Tinubu, in his Democracy Day speech, said his administration is pushing for financial autonomy for Nigeria’s 774 local councils, arguing that democracy is weakened when citizens do not feel its impact at the grassroots.
He also linked parts of the country’s insecurity to what he described as the failure of effective local government administration.

The tragic assassination of Kudirat Abiola. June 4, 1996 - Around 9:30am, as Kudirat (wife of detained MKO Abiola) traveled in her white Mercedes with her PA and driver on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Oregun Road, two Peugeot cars ambushed them.
Gunmen opened fire at close range. A bullet struck her forehead. She was rushed to hospital but died shortly after. Her PA survived the hail of bullets.
A fearless voice silenced under Abacha's regime.
