@rahttled_doc In Oz they are paid a professional wage. So studying in own time is expected, he didn't. So a procedure I could do in 15 mins takes an hour of my time and 2 of his... and he can't wait 15 mins to see how it turns out? Not fair to patient or employer.

@JudkinsSimon Bed shortages make it worse. Remember when heat waves led to certain floors (top floor of Royal Adelaide, ok that WAS many years ago!) and wards I think in Toowoomba Base , being closed because aircon couldn't cope & pts had to be moved. What could they do now?

@JudkinsSimon Simon, some states - at least Qld & NT - DOH insists short term/locums are employed via agency. Often adds very little value if any; disempowers workers - lots of us value safe hours over pay rates but agencies misrepresent that. Restrictive clauses should be challenged.

@SueIeraci @nyunggai Why didn't Albonese use this past year to SHOW what it will be, implementing The Voice informally - one doesn't need an act of parliament to use Focus Groups or Expert Committees to formulate legislation. Reassure the naysayers and iron out problems if any before its law...
