@adamboxer1 Rather, what makes you think girls want to and can't? We have increased girls in STEM subjects and boys in bio but, despite trying our very hardest, we can't shift the balance to at least equal numbers.
@adamboxer1 The IOP have been implementing new projects for years. I have been involved in some. What makes you think that girls are being prevented from taking up STEM subjects in schools when, in my experience, they are actively encouraged and it makes very little difference?
@WhistleblowingT Do you trust your HT? There could be an excellent rationale for this decision I.e. everyone will get experience of a different KS, you might have particular strengths the KS need, there might be CPD you do need. I am constantly amazed how many don't think they need to improve
@mrgmbrighton @ballater6 I worked within recruitment, law, HMP (not an inmate) construction and have links with marketing, finance and contact centres and every one, at a higher level, did hoop jumping exercises and presentations. I would infer from this, it is normal and your experience perhaps was not.
@WhistleblowingT Others have given you the answer but if you speak to your head, explain how unhappy you are and how it is affecting your mental health they might release you. They have duty of care and therefore your well being should feature highly
@WhistleblowingT In my extended family the giving of cash was considered lazy, unless requested to purchase a specific item I.e. saving for a laptop. I dont think we were that unusual. By the time we were in our 20s cash given by the aunt and uncles was normal because they didn't understand us.
@1_john_2_27 @aaronhoyland Your supposed to raise one, slightly more, annoying thing. Not the solve to the issue. E.g. raise yoy, remotes are waaaay to complicated these days. ๐ค
Exam papers that are really hard do nothing to promote the love of a subject. The exam boards have got it wrong. No cause for complaint because there are no tangible grounds. We are not producing better learners, we are loosing them.
@JerasIkehorn Usually, unless I am doing my shopping in 3.5 nano seconds as I have the school run or an appointment. It's a nice thing to do but it shouldn't be expected.
@naomicfisher everyone is going to agree with I.e. those from disadvantaged background don't get these opportunities and then everyone thinks you had a good argument in the first place.
@naomicfisher Agree about breaks and primary children but you conflate that argument with reward trips. Labelled as reward trips. These are not movement breaks or sensory breaks. This is an example of how politicians, rather Nigel farrage. Start one argument, mix with another, then make a poin
@drdrefud12@MrDanielBuck My experience is those with learning difficulties are often the first to volunteer with out loud reading to the class. We first build up confidence reading as a class following my finger (which I speed up n slow down) then move to individuals. Dyslexia is nothing to be ashamed of
@WhistleblowingT They can offer the role as a TLR 3 but not advertised as permanent. Clarify before proceeding. There is no harm in that. It could be a genuine error on their part.
@RetirementTales Not roller blackboard. The squeak, and standing on a chair if it stopped in just the wrong place! However a fully working functional one, a rare thing, was such fun. Just like roller chairs. #staffrace
