The OOT remake is
- the first zelda game exclusively on Switch 2
- the first true remake of a 3D Zelda game
- a remake of the most critically acclaimed video game of all time as well as one of the most iconic ones
and people seriously think Nintendo are gonna half ass it, lol
@SlLENTPRINCESS Unfortunately by pure numbers I think gta has us beat pretty handily. But by influence, respect, character writing and storytelling we definitely win!
Everyone wants it to be the same, but yall don't understand because of the limitations of the 64. we got the bare of what they could do. The 3ds didn't add much to it either.
But THIS is the time to add things and change stuff that needs it. i say, BRING IT ON!
Hi @NateTheHate2
I'm writing to you directly to respectfully request that you stop leaking video games before their announcements.
Announcing the date of an event isn't a problem, but leaking titles greatly diminishes the surprise.
I believe I speak for many.
Thank you.
Why do people keep saying "If Microsoft leaves hardware, then Sony will have no competition."
Nintendo is a competitor to PlayStation. You think Sony would be making a handheld if they didn't see Nintendo as competition?
You think its a coincidence that Sony is pulling PC support right when Nintendo has the best third party support since the SNES days on Switch 2. Sony doesnt have anything in its first party arsenal that can rival Animal Crossing, Smash Bros or Zelda, let alone Mario and Pokemon, so their biggest advantage they are starting to lose so exclusives are more important than ever for Sony.
Thats not even including the fact that Nintendo has a total monopoly in their homeland of Japan, which Sony doesn't like.
They are direct competitors, it's asinine to think otherwise.
I commented on a random volleyball TikTok with a Haikyu reference and the VA of freaking Shinomiya from Kaiju No. 8 somehow saw it and liked it??? Yo @askforabigail you’re awesome and I can’t wait to hear you in season 3!
I don't think that it is fair to label people who are not in favor of changing FF7's story as "wanting Aerith dead". It is simply the way the story was written. Aerith's death adds an unforgettable reminder how precious life is. Death has a way of adding stakes and emotional gravity to a story that frankly is unmatched because it's permanent. FF7's lessons about life are incredibly realistic and I think we all wish that the fate of certain people would change. That's only natural.
Where I think things go awry for me is that some forget that it is a fictional story. They think of Aerith as a real person (which I suppose is an unintended effect of such a memorable story). People actually start developing strong feelings for or against fictional characters to the point that we actually criticize them for actions they did or did not take as if they had free will. That's a bridge too far for me and something the fandom could do without.
I think Nojima's point of FF7R isn't to change the story, but showed you why the story is the way it is. Instead of looking to change the FF7 story perhaps we should try to understand it more; appreciate it for what it is except of focusing on what it is not.
Famitsu listed every game it has given a perfect 40/40 score as part of its 40th anniversary!

@MiningFinInd@cassieblooms Talked about why it seems low already. Important to note that nothing on this list is below an 8/10 for me lol. They’re all great games
@Htown032@cassieblooms Because I think as influential as it was and as perfect as it was for that time if you go back and replay it now there’s a LOT of quality of life issues and annoyances. The remake could resolve all of them because a lot is simply due to tech limits
Fable is a true fantasy because it allows you to:
• buy a house
• set affordable rent for tenants
• treat your employees fairly
• create generational wealth
The devs really used their imagination.
@TylorHepnerArt This isn’t just one of the best FF artworks I’ve ever seen but one of the most beautiful pieces of art in general that I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing this with us!
One thing I felt from the Direct is it seems like it’d be way more substantial if you ONLY play on Nintendo
Like Stellar Blade, Metaphor, DMC5, those are big, great games. But unless you’re Switch 2 only, you likely own or have played them already so its kinda just “aight cool”
