26 जून केवल आपातकाल के काले अध्याय का स्मरण ही नहीं कराता, बल्कि कांग्रेस की ‘सरेंडर राजनीति’ का भी एक दुखद दिन है। 26 जून 1974 को कच्चातीवू श्रीलंका को सौंपने के निर्णय का खामियाजा आज भी तमिलनाडु के मछुआरे भुगत रहे हैं।

आज कांग्रेस से एक और सवाल है केरल में शराब पर टैक्स 251% से घटाकर 121% क्यों किया गया? क्या युवाओं को सस्ती शराब के नशे में धकेलकर शराब कारोबारियों को लाभ पहुंचाना ही आपकी नीति है? जब राज्य पहले से नशे और ड्रग्स की गंभीर चुनौती झेल रहा है, तब यह फैसला बेहद दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है।

कांग्रेस को याद रखना चाहिए-
“मुझको यारों माफ करना, मैं नशे में हूँ;
बोतल में मय और मैं नशे में हूँ।”

लेकिन केरल की जनता नशे में नहीं है। वह सब देख रही है और उचित समय पर इसका जवाब भी देगी।

मुझे याद है कि वर्ष 2016 में मदनपुर थाने से कैसे असलहे लूट लिए गए थे और पूरे थाने को आग लगा दिया गया था।

आज मुहर्रम है, कहीं किसी का अता-पता नहीं है। कोई अस्त्र-शस्त्र का प्रदर्शन, सड़कों पर गुंडागर्दी नहीं कर सकता है।

अगर करेगा तो फिर सात पीढ़ियों तक भुगतेगा भी...

Visited the Giant Tortoise Enclosure at the Seychelles National Botanical Garden with President Dr. Patrick Herminie.

The Aldabra Giant Tortoise, which is native to Seychelles, is among the largest and longest-living species on Earth, with some of them witnessing over two centuries of history.

The Aldabra Giant Tortoise also have an association with the special friendship between India and Seychelles. In 2014, two of them were gifted to the Alipore Zoo in Kolkata. A few years later, Seychelles gifted a few more tortoises to Hyderabad Zoo.
