Meet Shaarifa.

Young. Driven. Unapologetically committed to change.

As a community health student and human rights defender, she is using her voice to push for accessibility, gender equality, and the full recognition of women with disabilities.

Through her work with VOWAG, she is helping create spaces where young women can speak freely, claim their rights, and actively shape the futures they want to live in.

Her energy reflects a generation that refuses to wait for permission to lead.

This is what defence of rights looks like on the ground.

She advocates for sign language interpretation in essential services and works toward a society where Deaf people can fully participate and lead.
