No tip, no thanks – "that’s what they get paid for."
Priorities, huh?

The barista drew a smiley face in my cappuccino – how cute! Of course I tipped.
The teacher who taught my kid to read and saved them from the system?
No tip, no gift, not even a card.
But yes, foam art is obviously essential.

Waiter brings me a steak – 20% tip, no question.
The garbage man’s been picking up my trash in snow and rain for 10 years – no tip, no thanks, just complaints when he misses a bag.
One serves pleasure, the other hygiene. Tough call.

I leave $5 on the hotel pillow because someone made my bed.
A nurse cleaned my mom’s bed after a vomit/stool explosion – understaffed, overworked, underpaid.
But hey, the Hilton gives you a cookie.

If you live in a country where tipping is necessary for people to survive, you don’t need better service – you need a better system.
