Adoptees are often attacked when we criticise adoption as a system or practice. Please stop and think before you pile on SURVIVORS for speaking about their experiences or the conclusions they have some to about the system they were forced into, abuses they suffered or the impact.
I'm so tired of hearing about #Adoption from people who aren't even #Adopted.
You DO NOT speak for us! Move along with your "Kept Privilege". WE are the experts, you have NO voice here. #AdopteeTwitter#AdoptionIsTrauma
So let me get this straight, a mother can’t ever get her child back after she has signed an adoption contract.

Exclusive: me for @theleaduk on why we adoptees are being failed by the healthcare system. Props to @AdultAdopteeMov, @GrandCamouflage for thoughts, as well as Prof Claire Alexander and @Coram: https://t.co/1eIhXbkPjw
Boston Globe literally celebrating the permanent separation of siblings only 2&3 years old. Huge photos of 2 tiny sad children adopted by 2 different white families who are celebrating. I can’t imagine how devastating this must be for the bio family who will see this.
