I’m working in Iraq & l when I was leaving our living compound to go to work, the Iraqi guard told me “good luck”.
I know it wasn’t meant ominously bc he says completely random English phrases he’s learned, but it did catch me off guard.

While I love currently living in Iraq, I don’t love that I can never get Coke products at restaurants. It’s always Pepsi. 😭

My favorite thing to do is when talking to someone who is overly pretentious about their intelligence is to purposely use big words incorrectly and see how they react to it.

Almost everyone: “but how can you leave your kids?!”

When my husband was going take a job similar to that but I’m Africa, not one person said that to him. 🙃

@DMenz_92 My kids don’t really have an idea of what’s happening outside of quitting. They seem to see it as I’m now able to drive to school everyday instead of putting them on the bus.

My hubs wanted me to quit the moment every thing got worse, so he’s glad I’m getting the mental break.

I recently left a job I absolutely loved bc of the hostile environment that was amplified by putting in a sexual harassment complaint w Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO)... a very long thread for my own mental health ramblings...(1)

@standardcatlady Thanks, it’s really sucked these past few months. Especially bc I’m extremely non-confrontational & this whole mess has forced me to be confrontational. I’m devastated that I ended up leaving, but relieved I’m done dealing with it.

And people wonder why women never speak up…
