I attended a secondary school owned by a Catholic Igbo man whose establishment simply focused on academics and his own financial gains. No student was forced to do anything against their beliefs.

Upon registration, if a female Muslim name like Zainab, Aisha, or Khadeejah is mentioned as your name, or your religion was checked and you are a Muslim, it is mandatory to get the designated school hijab. It is left to you to use it or not.

Inside the school, we have a fully equipped mosque, and one break time was scheduled during Solatuz-Zuhr.

Thursday and Friday assemblies were coordinated the Islamic way. Nobody was forced to do what isn’t their belief.

During Hijrah celebrations, the school even pasted “Happy Hijrah” stickers on the school buses. We used to say it wasn’t necessary, but would the businessman listen?😅

One would expect that as you hold an position, you would be fair to every religion as the title "King" you carried. It is disappointing that a supposedly father of all religion, is engaging in divisive discussion to further push agenda or narrative.

First, after the DHQ released a statement about the group calling them fleeing members of JAS, the govt has not made mention of which of the JAS either Boko Haram, Ansaru, Sadiku , Mahmudawa or Darusalam all these five groups are splinter groups of Boko Haram, and I don't know where you got your information about Shari'ah demand as negotiation demand, but I hope you sit down and think properly.

Secondly, Izala Movement has faced Boko Haram since it's establishment and there are records of public teachings, expulsion of anyone who have Islamic radical ideology in Izala movement, the movement have built schools, hospital among others in Nigeria. It is also important to state that the boko haram assassinated Prominent anti-extremist scholars linked to the Salafi/Izala movement such as Sheikh Ja'far Mahmoud Adam (assassinated in 2007) and Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Albani Zaria (assassinated in 2014) were violently murdered by Boko Haram for preaching against their terrorist ideology.

Get your facts right, and be a father to all religion, as you rule in your domain.
