@tarynbatt14 has epitomized the phrase “trust the process”, as she began her collegiate career at Grand Canyon, spent her sophomore year at McLennan Community College, and then returned to GCU as a vital piece in the Lopes’ rotation. Off the heels of an unbelievable season at McLennan, Taryn had an all-conference and all-region season in 2025 with the Lopes. She went 18-1 with a 2.14 ERA, striking out 89 batters. Batterton won two WAC Pitcher of the Week awards and tossed a five-inning no-hitter vs. Colgate in the first weekend of the season. This season, Taryn holds a 9-1 record with three complete games and two saves. “Pitcherton” began the year with 27 consecutive scoreless innings to start the year. She has struck out another 77 batters and will be relied upon in the postseason due to her big-game experience! #LopesUp

A teacher gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it, and throw it in the hallway.

The teacher then mixed all the balloons. The students were given 5 minutes to find their own balloon.

Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon, At that point, the teacher told the students to take the first balloon they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it.

Within 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon. The teacher said to the students, "These balloons arelike happiness.

We will never find it if everyone is
looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness, we'll find ours too."
