A participatory creative research project led by homeless and ex-homeless people, exploring questions of money, worth and value in homeless communities.
Does the specific experience of being homeless give us a different perspective on money and materialism?
Or is it the experience of poverty generally that does that?

I used to love the phrase "co-production".
But lately, often feels like a homeless org is saying "We want you to co-produce sthg - but **we** still start it, & define what it is". I don't see homeless people inviting an org to “co-produce” with us.
Does it happen?
Anyone who thinks 66 is a reasonable retirement age is either too young to know better or has spent their life in comfort.
For the working class, it's a death sentence. Decades of low pay, exhausting hours, failing healthcare, and poor nutrition take their toll.
Life expectancy has only edged up because people are kept alive longer with medication, not because they're living healthier lives. There’s nothing dignified about dragging a worn-out body through another decade of labour just to keep the economy ticking for the rich.
"The endeavor to keep alive any hoary establishment beyond its natural date is often pernicious and always useless."
Mary Wollstonecraft, writer, philosopher and early advocate of women’s rights, was born #OnThisDay 1759.

Good Morning @UKGiftHour
One of the things rough sleepers say is the most difficult to deal with, is that they feel invisible.
So we are delighted our card range is ever expanding and that our artists talent can be showcased, they should never not be seen.
Public services need more money 💰 But what about the way we organise ourselves around service silos rather than people, their families & communities? We found 80% of resources spent on repeated assessment & referral rather than supporting people. This is where the money goes 🤷♀️
i really can't believe that the fucking internet archive isn't allowed to archive the internet because publishers are mad about shit being free but tech companies can feed all our data to LLMs

Dear @larsweisbrod,
>90% of our jobs serve no economic purpose. But a financial. Billions of economically unnecessary #bullshitjobs are wasting most of our resources and energy. Causing global warming and inflation.
We need #basicincome to survive.

In our latest blog Co-producer Maddie @itsmyamygdala explores epistemic injustice from her perspective as a psychiatric survivor and discusses how co-production has the potential to prevent and repair the harm done by this kind of injustice.https://t.co/J3v3v9FiNY
HMRC hasn't prosecuted anyone for enabling tax evasion in 5 years.
But it fined 95,000 people who dodged nothing, £100 each because their returns were slightly late.
HMRC, pinching the pennies, ignoring the stolen Pounds.
In #Camden, CPNs are being unjustly handed out like Smarties...
Typically imposed on the most vulnerable of society with ridiculous inhumane conditions attached.
MASSIVE thanks to Bríd & all the team at @hodgejonesallen for this important victory!

My job over the last 40 years has been writing strategies. Depressingly none of them have worked. Not a single one 😐 What has worked are the compelling stories about a place, a partnership & the people. We can waste so much time on pointless documents that people can’t remember.

Make money sacred by backing it with the things that have become sacred to us.
Today, access to money, via credit, goes to those who are likely to expand the realm of goods & services. In a sacred economy, it will go to those who contribute to a more beautiful world.
