In regards to the cmo3 debate, just commission a rigger who is comfortable with giving you the file
Just also expect to pay more for that because it DOES include their trade craft and institutional knowledge
Don't expect every rigger to be ok with it. Be upfront from the start!
@Lina_Hoshino Truly I think at this point, the og live2d file being in the delivery falls on the client and should be established before payment is made. It acts like a contract and if the rigger doesn't offer that file, that's how it is. Too many variables to consider in making a standard :0
@Lina_Hoshino True, I think it rounds back to the software having a hefty barrier of entry and even adding a new outfit is a daunting task for people who don't know how to use the software. It runs almost like a subscription service!
@Lina_Hoshino Actually thinking about it a little more, since the live2d is afaik the only software and it's exclusive sub locked, it leaves a large barrier of entry that makes the moc3 file slightly reduntant to give out. Either way... as they say, be the change you wish to see ๊๊(แตแแต*)
@Lina_Hoshino There's just too many small variables with this type of thing to create a blackand white argument for either side as definite. Leaves it to "If the rigger wants to, it's their perogative" or "learn how to do it your self"? I'm neither here nor there honestly lmao
@Lina_Hoshino Though that's thinking too much into it and putting a deeper reason than there probably is. I always assumed the end result and the export was the thing vtubers paid for. Just like with paid editors, your end result is the video file, not the premier/resolve session
@Lina_Hoshino To me it feels like a failsafe to avoid bad actors adding something hateful to the live2d file and claiming it was in there from the start. The internet now is black and white with the louder one ends up being the one who is right in the eyes of the average user
