A few thoughts on the refs in London since the NFL can’t fine me.

[Nicki Jhabvala @NickiJhabvala]

Commanders LT Brandon Coleman on the penalties: "I mean, we say the same thing every week, like, we gotta fix it. But it's just bullshit. There’s stuff that we know we gotta do and there’s stuff that we gotta fix. I hate to say it, but, like, you always say that shit. Like, we gotta fix it yesterday. At the end of the day, it’s on us. As an offense, as an O-line, that shit that’s just simple communication that just has to go down with the (experience) that we have in our room and how gelled we are. We got to put our arms around Athan and make sure that we’re all on the same page. It’s all about us and that’s what we got to get fixed.”

@NFLOfficiating really called offensive pass interference here.

9 penalties against Washington
1 against the Colts

I want them investigated. @NFLOfficiating @NFL @Commanders

Where’s the hold and the illegal shift?!

@NFLOfficiating needs to be investigated! #RaiseHail

NFL need to investigate these refs

[Tiller56 (Hogs Haven) @Tiller56]

UNBELIEVABLE that this was not pass interference 😡

[SleeperCommanders @SleeperWSH]

The #Commanders outgained the Colts 317 to 257, won the turnover battle 2 to 1, and still lost by 17.

Penalties:
Commanders: 10 for 84 yards
Colts: 1 for 5 yards

The flags swung the scoreboard:

- An unnecessary roughness call on 3rd & 14 turned a likely Colts field goal into a TD
- A false start turned 3rd & 12 into 3rd & 17, and the INT on the next snap set up a 20-yard Colts TD drive
- An illegal shift and a hold erased an 87-yard Kaliakmanis to Antonio Williams TD that would've tied it at 20
- 4 of the 10 flags came on special teams, for 43 yards

In my opinion, some of those calls were soft, and the refs missed a few that should've gone our way. That said, the false starts and the delay of game are on us. Those are fixable.

There’s no pre snap motion yet called for an Illegal Shift.

Dyami is squared up on the block and it’s a hold.

This makes it looked rigged. #RaiseHail

Take a wild guess which one of these was flagged for roughing the passer and which wasn't
