These Safaricom PR gimmicks are becoming too much.

You can write all the beautiful corporate poetry you want about transformation, Ethiopia, M-Pesa revenues, COVID call centres and Peter Ndegwa walking into Westlands like Moses entering Canaan, but ordinary customers judge Safaricom from the service they actually receive every day.

The complaints from Safaricom customers are enough evidence that services have deteriorated badly.

People are buying data they can barely use, 5G routers are failing like government promises, customer care keeps sending people in circles, network quality has become a daily frustration, and every complaint is treated like the customer is the problem.

Safaricom Chairman Adil Khawaja is also busy taking President Ruto to Rhino Charge instead of spending that time putting things in order at a company whose customers are crying every day.

A company cannot hide poor service behind polished boardroom storytelling forever.

Safaricom used to feel reliable. These days it feels like a big PR machine sitting on top of angry customers, failing products and excuses.

Transformation for shareholders while customers suffer is not transformation..... It is corporate gaslighting.
