@PeterB12008186@er_barbarbar@polypocketknife So explain to me what is different then ?
What businesses are there?
And how long have they been open for ?
McDonald’s was so good to become a globalized chain, how come that doesn’t happen to those restaurants since they are so culturally significant and way better? Lmk
@PeterB12008186@er_barbarbar@polypocketknife Nothing that you’re saying now is relevant to the conversation in the slightest
You’re just spitting out word vomit because you are left with no arguments of course there is more than McDonald’s but that was never the point
@PeterB12008186@er_barbarbar@polypocketknife Let’s say if instead of hong Kong it was a picture of nyc in the 80’s then it would be that McDonald’s, Starbucks maybe even studio 54 would be in the mix, it has nothing to do with corporate greed, if any of those hk business would of made it big they would have ended up thesame
@PeterB12008186@er_barbarbar@polypocketknife None of what you said it’s relevant, op isn’t comparing McDonald’s to HK’s businesses, they are only pointing out that the American version would be McDonald’s etc… which is true,
@TommyPCGarrett@laurlin24 Well if I was in your position and the heat was so unbearable like you guys cry about, I would gladly close the curtains and sit in the dark all day to keep my peace instead of victimizing myself on twitter over my own wrongdoing
There is plenty options to choose from
@PeterB12008186@er_barbarbar@polypocketknife Do you think that McDonald’s just spawned off the gate with 400 franchises around the world ??? They started as a family restaurant 80+ years ago, so yes they would be in the same category, the difference is none of those in HK made it big like McD
@TommyPCGarrett@laurlin24 Nope English people specifically kept going on on about their summers being worse because they build houses to retain heat and blah blah that you are an island so super humid blah blah
@PeterB12008186@er_barbarbar@polypocketknife You just don’t think about McDonald’s being in the same category because it has just become too big, so big that we don’t even think about it twice, regardless whatever you’re saying is just supporting op’s claim. If that was the USA it would def be McDonald etc,
@PeterB12008186@er_barbarbar@polypocketknife Well i would argue that McDonald’s has way bigger cultural significance than studio 54…
As someone that lives in New York I can confidently tell you the great majority has no clue what studio 54 was.
@PeterB12008186@er_barbarbar@polypocketknife I get your point but you could literally say the same about McDonald’s, kfc, 7-eleven they are unique restaurant stores, massively popular that Americans love thinking and reminiscing about, they are also referenced worldwide in movies and culture. you’re just biased
@persiankanye I passed next to them the other day and it was such a non issue… they really took less space than the guys that block off the sidewalk to do backflips
@planetbakers I genuinely don’t know anyone in my personal life that uses twitter regularly, it’s almost always only used if they are looking for something specific
