As you watch the Aurora this evening, it’s worth reflecting that you’re getting a rare direct glimpse of the power of Nature. Those charged particles causing the atmosphere to glow came from a sunspot complex 17 times the diameter of Earth and traveled across 90 million miles at a million miles an hour. Without our magnetic field to protect us, our atmosphere would have been lost to space long ago. Those colours in the sky are Nature reminding us that we’re very lucky to be here amidst the violence. And perhaps therefore also reminding us not to shite it all up :-)
@IrlMOS Ya there’s no denying that. She was safe from the last two dances - and they were very good! The judges scoring was the issue tonight. And it wasn’t Suzanne’s fault. But the 15 points given for forgetting the dance wasn’t fair on Leah or Shane.
Conspiracy theory here but I reckon the producers are contracted to keep big names like Susanne Jackson in it until at least week 5. I have nothing against her personally but why would anyone else get a 6 off a judge for forgetting a dance? #DWTSIrl
Loving @JoanneOR_Ox’s #SportingChance programme! And add on @AnnaGCork’s keeping women in sport documentary as well, it’s brilliant to see the direction women’s sports and support around it is heading.
@IrelandsFarmers Hey Katie, I know ye are very successful in the show ring but would ye ever find that some judges would have a preference between polled vs unpolled? Or do they not care?
Great to see Tiger Roll excelling in his second career. Congratulations to Ted and Tiger on bringing home 1st place at Tullamore Show best of luck at the @TheRDS 🥇
@Ciarabelles Outside Dublin isn’t much better. Trying to make a life for myself in the country. House prices are ridiculous. Half an hour to an hour commute to work is normal. Fuel prices rising. They want us to switch to electric cars, yet very few charging points available that work.
The @farming_indo, @irishexaminer & @AgrilandIreland has treated the push for inclusivity in Irish farming seriously. The @farmersjournal has reduced it to a joke. It's fine, it's funny. It's lads banter at a large under-represented group on farms. That was the best they could do
Thought the @farmersjournal could have done better tbh.Instead of promoting inclusivity and celebrating the initiative from the government to promote and encourage women in agriculture, they put this cartoon on page two. A real kick in the teeth for a lot of women in this country
