On the dingiest back street of the city, up a set of rickety wooden stairs, you'll find a private study, reeking of cigar smoke.
In it, you'll find a very strange lady.
She's blind, yet she can see straight through you.
She'll make all your troubles vanish, for a price...
Oh he's fine. He did try to shoot me as soon as he woke up, so I had to knock him out again. Just give him a week or two for his concussion and he'll be right as rain.
@kasanezed Now that's not to say you can't handle this on your own. My informants tell me you're quite capable. But wouldn't it be so much easier to let someone else handle it? Someone who earns their living off making your problems vanish?
@kasanezed I've been called a problem solver. THE problem solver, if you feel so bold. And I'd say "someone is finding someone to kill me" is a problem. A bigger problem when your next issue is "my security will let anyone walk into my residence uncontested."
@kasanezed // Listen buddy, I'm a contractor, that means I solve problems. Not problems like what is beauty, because that would fall under the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems. /ref
@kasanezed As am I. I think we could help each other, you know. Come by my study at some point, won't you?
( She produces a business card from inside her vest - with braille, of course. )
@kasanezed Mmm. You certainly keep a lot of security for cough syrup.
( She straightens her tie. )
Someone came asking about you. Asking for your head. Now, I don't do hits over nothing, so I told them to take their leave. But I felt I ought to see what the fuss was about.
@kasanezed Waved around some authoritative looking papers and gave some stern words. They let me right through. The only one who gave me trouble is... taking a nap. He'll be fine.
@LlARSDANCE ( ... )
( She slides a shell into one chamber before setting the cylinder back in place. )
It's not polite to stare, stardust. Even if I am dashing.
( She's got a cigar in her mouth, as if her study didn't stink of smoke enough already, and she's playing smooth jazz so loud that she can't hear herself think. )
