GUYS. I am officially getting my first ever FRONT PAGE opportunity on twitch! I will be playing @NewsBlackDesert new class Wukong all day! Please come and join me as I will be going live on July 3rd @ 12pm PST.
I just want to say I am incredibly grateful for my lovely partner @ItsMaybear She has been supporting me to hit all of my goals this year, by my side every step of the way. I am where I am not only because of her love and care but because of the drive that she gives me to keep being the best person that I can be. Im crushing every goal out of the park for us sweetheart. Movie night tonight!
Moving forward in my journey as a content creator has probably been one of the hardest things to learn from.
I think the most repetitive thing I hear while working with other creators is “well I don’t think I can stop playing this game I really don’t enjoy anymore because my audience enjoys the game”
Now, it’s no shocker that there will be viewers and supporters that will mainly watch you for specific games. It has been incredibly hard as a primarily valorant content creator myself to shift from my roots. But what happens to your happiness and longevity as a content creator when you play games you genuinely don’t love anymore?
Your viewers can sense the energy shift. Sometimes it’s easier to shift your audience to another niche or game for the sake of your mental, than to force content that doesn’t resonate with you anymore.
Someone I would love to appreciate for their consistency and dedication to staying true to themselves is @LvYeti. One of the most humble kings I know. I watched Yeti go from streaming valorant at a pretty high competitive level (radiant) a couple years ago, to streaming Black Desert Online. At first I didn’t really know as a viewer how to engage with him on a completely new game I’ve never seen before. But sometimes your support goes so much further than you’ll ever know to your fellow streamer friends. Fast forward a couple years and now Yeti is going on to apply for twitch partner, has a community of BDO players and viewers that genuinely rock with him for his energy and passion for what he’s been doing for the past decade. CREATING.
The moral of the story is JUST CREATE. Do what you love, share your story and be genuine. Your audience will gravitate towards you and the people that are meant to be in your circle will be there. Don’t drive yourself towards a burnout over a game you don’t enjoy anymore.
I never thought that I would be the one making this tweet. As someone who has been a creator for 9 years this month. This just doesn't feel real and I want to thank everyone who believes in me and has supported my journey. Even if it takes 100 tries past the first application. The fact is, It is possible that this Yeti can be a partner.
