@Fightful He’s represented by WME, the majority owner of WWE. So Raw is a vehicle to generate publicity for their client — as if he were a guest on a talk show. I haven’t traced the reps for the other celebrities but can probably draw a line to which organization represents them.

I just find him boring and the lengthy entrance is such a turnoff. WWE can stick an ad break in there and he’d be only halfway down the ramp when back!

@RyanDivish @penjen26 Love this! The Times gave me an opportunity as a stringer in the sports dept. in 1986. I was a senior in HS and wrote one-paragraph recaps of games at Memorial Stadium. Not the greatest recaps but the mentorship and opportunity meant everything! Got a byline story at the end!

@JohnInTheHarbor He’s actually on a team-issued iPad watching tape of the game — usually of the pitching in case there’s something he spots that can help the team. There are strict MLB rules against cell phones and other personal devices in the dugout.

@robstaton @RapSheet Jordan Schultz also did this last night. Mike Vorel did this last year & I asked if he could delay it by a few ses. He was at the VMAC so they got the pick before TV, and he was cool about it and stopped. The insiders should know these are not “breaking news moments.”
