@Adz03_@mriordan__ Scott averaged getting on for 1 in 4, not exactly prolific.
Dennis scored early in the season, but not really because of the system, most of his goals were long range shots.
Ndlovu, Traore, Morias, Brown, Mitchell all failed to score consistently in the system.
@railroad7654@mriordan__ So your saying that over half the strikers signed, their primary objective wasn't to score goals? They then didn't score enough goals, and we got rid of every single one of them, and that was nothing to do with their goals record?
@railroad7654@mriordan__ It's easy to say that after they failed to score goals though. Even in the current team, we still expect Ndlovu to contribute some goals, even if not at the same rate as Jatta.
@mriordan__ But we've have lots of strikers in this system who have failed to score goals. I just think it would be a big gamble to let one go in the hope we get one better, in our first season back ineague 1.
@railroad7654@mriordan__ Wooton is a good shout, I forgot him, but there was also Kairo Mitchell, Lewis Knight, Elisha Sam, Scott Wilson, Inih Effiong.
I'm not knocking the recruitment, but for a striker who scores goals, their success rate is about 1 in 4. It would be a big gamble to let one go.
@Bennyg4@railroad7654@mriordan__ I back the recruitment team if he leaves, I just worry we are too nonchalant about having a 20+ striker because of how blessed we've been over the last 4 years. That position is so pivotal to how we play, get it wrong and it could be tough.
@jacobncm@mriordan__ The contract is the the only one that concerns me. If we're keeping him, we need him to sign a new deal. I doubt the owners would be keen to lose him for nothing. I don't think his injury record is too bad, and if we recruit well enough, we should be able to cope with the odd red
@railroad7654@mriordan__ Upfront, I'm not sure they have. Langstaff, Jatta and McGoldrick have delivered goals, Scott as good as he was, was nearly a 1 in 4. Traore, Ndlovu, Morias, Brown, haven't scored many and Dennis has proved to be streaky.
@mriordan__ Is he not? That's an awful lot of games to get lucky in. And as much as I back the recruitment team, for every Jatta, there will be a Traore. It would be a big gamble to let him go.
@Robertnotts Whilst this isn't a great take, it's nowhere near the worst this season when you've got fans wanting the owners out, manager sacked, think Jatta is shit etc.
There's a lot of humble pie to be eaten.
@Official_NCFC Jatta wins no aerial duels whatsoever and Roos is still intent on hoofing it to him.
Both of them have the combined brain cells of Balint Bajner after scoring a goal.
Won’t be upset to see the back of either of them because they’re not clever enough or good enough.
The best thing Patetson has done is throw Jodi back into the starting lineup. He wasn't fit, he was out of form, but he knew how important he could be, and today proved it! All hail King Patetson
