Darren Fletcher's bias today, my god. 'Hard to criticise the ref'. 'Must have been Dubravka's landing..' or he's timewasting!? This has been a joke for commentary and refereeing standards. A new low for the Premier League. Marvelling at Newcastle's turnaround.. get a grip.
@talkSPORT when you play the whole 'talksport, online, on the app, talksport' promo. What's with the little 'doodle-oop' sound that plays? Drives me a bit mad. Split second. Am I hearing things? Who made the sound, what's the meaning, whys it there? Help me sleep at night, please
Not a fan of book covers being cut a centimetre short on the width to reveal a 'New York Times Bestseller' underpanel. I've seen the chart. Lemme see that cover in its uninterrupted glory. Jessie Burton's House of Fortune paperback got this treatment. Great sales are great but...
Happy #BookLoversDay !
I'm currently reading the BRILLIANT 'Braised Pork' by An Yu. A most excellent debut that tracks a young widow's experience in a completely captivating way. I'll absolutely read more by Yu.
I've had three short stories published & the first rung on the publishing ladder has brought me so much joy. All proceeds have gone to charity.
My students were quick to ask 'how much do you make from your books?'.
They live in a world where hobbies, skills & creations must = ยฃ
@goodreads The Exorcist - Blatty
Ghost Story - Straub
Pet Sem - King
Currently reading 'House of Leaves' - Danielewski and Hell House by Matheson, both will join and the latter could surely top the list.
Louder for those that need it: Different TO. Different FROM.
'Than' is a conjuction used with comparative adjective. (Taller than).
'Different' is not a comparative adjective. 'Different than' = nope.
When I first had The Philosopher's Stone read to me aged 9 in 1997 - Hagrid felt safe and familiar: standing up to the Dursleys, helping Harry navigate the Wizarding World, an ally in a new world. I took that with me into Secondary School. Robbie Coltrane embodied him perfectly.
Finished reading the dark and twisted medical thriller 'Twilight' by Peter James. Certain images from this book will last with me a long time! Not for sensitive readers. ๐ฆ Check out my book review below. New to my channel? Have a look around.

@talkSPORTDrive just wanted to say thanks Ade & well done for your coverage of the Queen's passing, especially as we were all coming to initial terms with the news. Tone was spot on. I usually turn to TS for escape, comfort, familiarity. Felt in safe hands at a difficult time.
Hello! Below: why I love R. L. Stine's "Beach House", a classic beachside summer slasher - and why we should resits looking at it through a modern lens. I'm enjoying these 90s reads as the little time capsules they are. #PointHorror#Goosebumps#BookTube

Currently loving Shadowghast by the brilliant @ThomasHTaylor. Third in the Eerie on Sea series - man I love this town. Very much its own place but as I read I'm 9 again wandering around Hastings. Joke shops. The West Hill lift. The cafe with that huge mannequin eating a fry up.
