I started my shirt biz after constantly being stopped so people can look at my shirts. This weekend it was, “hey! Isn’t that ______ on your shirt?”.

LOVE ON YOUR KIDS. Be sweet to them. Say nice things. Sing to them. Do things they enjoy. Watch their favorite shows. Take them on trips. Speak life into them. Tell them how intelligent they are. How beautiful and handsome they are. How super they are. They need to hear it. They have bad days too. They want to feel special too. Make them feel wanted and cared for. Because some grown adults are still healing from what they didn’t get as kids.
Steady teaching the older black generation to say “thick, loose, fine, coarse, coily etc” instead of “good hair” this and “bad hair” that..constant lesson but I’m not giving up.
Currently forcing myself to learn Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop because what I’m using right now is letting me down when it’s crunch time. The easier route isn’t always the best.
God is so good to my daughter and I. The favor that has been on my child since the day she was born is nothing but love and grace…from the people we don’t know and even strangers….single motherhood has never been lonely..God makes sure we’re good.
I put my daughters umbrella in her bookbag over the weekend. Today it’s raining and guess where here umbrella is…in my back seat and she’s at school. 🙃
