Different physical standards for men and women in the U.S. military have existed for a long time. BUT, there were also combat roles that were male-only.

Then, under Obama, all combat roles were opened to men AND women. BUT, different physical fitness standards for men and women remained.

Today at @DeptofDefense — we fix this. All combat roles are open to men and women BUT they must all meet the same, high standard.

No standards will be lowered AND all combat roles will only have sex-neutral standards. Common sense.

i haven't had a chance to really digest and dig into the horrific implications of the UK gov demanding access to Apple users’ encrypted data. essentially allowing a backdoor to all user data, breaching and bypassing user security and privacy!

this has resulted in Apple being forced to withdraw cloud encryption services from UK after this gov order.

not only is this a disgusting breach of user privacy but it calls upon a questioning of the UK gov values and sense of authority.

it hasn't been short on showcasing Totalitarian behaviours since Covid. and with the recent change of hands (appointing a Tory in disguise of a Labour member as PM), whose party is showcasing obsessive traits on breach of privacy like policies for the sake or the good of the user which is clearly false.

in the obvious act of Big Brother for the 'safety of the civilians' 👁️ not one that is supposedly meant to be a proponent of so called democratic values!

for Apple users in the UK, i suggest backing up all your files onto a hard drive than relying on iCloud moving forward and be careful of your iMessage data.

what this means for UK Apple users, the Advanced Data Protection (ADP) feature, which provides end-to-end encryption for iCloud data, is no longer available.

resulting in iCloud backups in the UK lacking this level of encryption. which also means Apple can access certain user data, such as copies of iMessages, and may be legally compelled to hand it over to authorities.
