@LookItUpGamer Matchups raptor comes to is sand, Sun rain, sometimes raptor raichu mirrors, sometimes rain, gengar teams without the rain pieces, hard tr teams if you can click wide guard and no single target hits can hit raptor super effective and you can ramp up contrary cc.
I went 10-3 placing 36th at the Baltimore Regional Championships this past weekend. I am happy with the result and team that I built. Timid Armarouge was easily the mvp on this team. Replica code is below for anyone who wants to try it.
Feel free to reach out with questions.
@LookItUpGamer Swampert is a bad matchup. You can beat it but its tricky. Into pert peli leads raptor indeedee is strong as you can intimidate and cc them while clicking follow me to force them to take rocky helmet chip and wave crash recoil. Through this you can eventually get the ko and win.
@LookItUpGamer Rain without pert is very doable as raichu is strong with redirection and arma does a lot of damage with ep even to Archaladon. Pod also does just get one shot by armor cannon in rain so it feels fine and you can pick either mega based on the team you play.
@fairVGC ๐ with ychu being so common now I think i would make the raichu on this team as high of speed as possible since terrain blocks priority for it.
@MikeCharliunjx Hp is just a dump. Max speed jolly is needed, 9 attack is to 1 shot max hp rilla with brave bird and rest is hp dump to better abuse contrary cc.
@MrPhoNoodle Some matchups do not need a mega such as delphox balance since sneaslers rock tomb still provides speed control. Sometimes into raichu raptor you can just drop a mega if they dont bring raptor in games 1 or 2.
@PraxVGC Timid allows you to guarantee outspeed modest dengo 100% of the time. Only gambit can cleanly 1 shot it so having another option without needing speed control helps. It also outspeeds non speed boosting nature rilla, basc, glim, venu, ceruledge, some garde, and timid peli.
@poke_gto4 It depends on the sand team as the approach to them can vary. The sand core of exca and t-tar can be handled via raptor and seed sneas, but when they have mons like mence or corv, then pokemon like gambit or Armarouge are considered. Realistically all six can come into sand.
@leojesus Wide Guard Armarouge goes a long way. Using an offensive mon like raptor, gambit or sneasler alongside wide guard spam tends to beat most of them but it varies on what six mons they have and what single target moves they have. Mega Camerupt is a negative matchup though.
