@discord@discord_support On 9/9/25, the discord account savii6869 was hacked via token-theft through a suspicious link sent to her from a compromised friend.
Immediately, the email attached to that account was also compromised and shortly thereafter, the X account that shared that email address.
The hacker is familiar with Discord's hack response and deleted the account. It's gone. It cannot be recovered.
Meanwhile, the service and support communications have been little more than the image attached here. This is unacceptable. While the true owner of the account is trying to get the account back, the hacker is using her identity to hack others.
Through inaction, Discord is complicit in this hack campaign. Many people are being hit with these hacks and if this is the response, the losses these people take will be beyond calculation.
Discord needs to fix this immediately.
If Discord can't give the account back even after the user's identity was clearly established; then delete or suspend the compromised account. Perform a review of the account's DM history - do something.
If anyone else is hurt by this security issue following this notification, the hacker is only partially to blame. By allowing this to persist, equal culpability falls to Discord.
Anyone seeing this message: boost it to raise awareness.
This is broken and dangerous.
Discord wants to be a mainstream communications platform, but they can be compromised with a mere click of a link - and have no policy for recovery of accounts in this situation.
Hackers know this and orchestrate hacks like this specifically to exploit these weaknesses.
If the platforms turn a blind eye to such a situation, the only thing we can do is elevate visibility as a community.
