Yesterday, to mark 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲, teams across the Service joined hands with partners and communities to take action for nature.

In the 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚, Nairobi National Park partnered with Maniago Safaris through the Luigi Foundation, World Leaders of Today (WLT) via their Stand Up Shout Out (SUSO) programme, and Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Karuri Campus in a joint habitat management initiative.

Over 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 participated in the removal of Parthenium, an invasive plant threatening biodiversity - successfully uprooting 𝟐𝟓𝟔 𝐤𝐠 of the harmful species!

Meanwhile, in the 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚, our team joined pupils and teachers of 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐯𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞, to plant 𝟐𝟓𝟎 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 - nurturing both the environment and young learners, and growing a greener future one tree at a time.
