After watching a lot of people play the demo, I realized there’s a whole spectrum of ways people perceive and interact with things. At least with my game, these differences didn’t seem connected to any particular player demographic.
It’s so interesting, but it also makes designing new mechanics and interactions even more challenging.
My first Gamescom and my game’s first demo showcase!
I met amazing people, watched them play and react, and talked with them about the game. Now I can say all the effort before and during Gamescom was worth it.
A big thank you to everyone who came by, and a huge one to my great friends who helped make it happen!
I’ve been working on Gamescom stuff for a while now, and everything is finally almost done. I’m already completely exhausted from all the different things I’ve had to take care of, and it hasn’t even started yet.
If you’re there, come by my booth and play the demo. I’d love to meet you and see you play.

I’m excited to announce that my game, Balance: Umbilical Wake, will be part of @IndieArenaBooth at #Gamescom2026 this August!
I’ll be there with a demo, so come by, say hi, and give it a try.
