It's not an immediate killer, I'll grant it that, but Starbreeze needs to fully address this situation sooner rather than later if they want things to go smoothly come launch day.

I'm patient enough to see how the situation fully develops. Other people won't be so willing to.

Giving things some thought, it's a bit unusual that #PAYDAY3 is set to be online-only. It's easy to point to cross-play/cross-progression but it also feels like something's not quite right with that. Troubling stuff.

Hopefully @PAYDAYGame reneges and brings back offline support.

Internet connections may be important to these sorts of live games but there should always be an offline mode for these sorts of things, 100%. A good internet connection would be required otherwise, and not all people are created equal in that regard.

It's had a good run and I have several things from there over time, but I do hope that Valve at least has some plan of action to replace it. Just deleting it without a successor at least in the pipeline would be bad for business, and an unwarranted kick in the teeth to the fans.
